Sheryl Lee Ralph Opened Up About Being Sexually Assaulted By A ‘Famous TV Judge,’ Says She Was Asked By Network Execs To Not Report The Incident

Sheryl Lee Ralph opened up in an exclusive interview with Way Up with Angela Yee about the sexual abuse she faced in Hollywood.

The Abbott Elementary star recalled the moments in her career when she had been violated by men in the industry as she discussed her new novel DIVA 2.0: 12 Life Lessons From Me For You.

“This was a famous TV judge….,”

she said adding that it was

    “not Judge Mathis.”

“I’m at a very public place. I was suited, I was handling my business for the television show I was on at that time. We were on the same network. This man walked in grabbed me by the back of my neck, turned me around, and rammed his nasty tongue down my throat. And everybody at the network saw it,”

    she said.

Ralph said network execs attempted to silence her.

“Do you know that they did not want any bad press around their show and did not care what just happened to me…That’s the kind of stuff that happens. That’s what happens. That’s what makes it hard for women to speak up about these things.”

The Emmy Award-winner offered her advice to women in Hollywood who could relate to her story.

“It’s hard. I would say nowadays, speak up, tell your truth. Do not carry the burden of that pain. Especially if it’s something you feel you cannot work through.”

High School Football Coach Fired For Praying with Team Wins $1.7M Settlement and Will Get His Job Back

A former high school football coach from Seattle was awarded a $1.7 million settlement and was given his job back after a Supreme Court decision ruled in his favor, NY Post reported.

Joseph Kennedy was suspended as football coach of the Washington state high school in 2015 after leading prayers with his team after games and having talks with them using

    “religious references.”

He sued the district taking the case to the Supreme Court.

    Kennedy claimed the prayers were

    “private acts of faith,”

telling ABC News that after he started praying alone students began to join him. The school district noticed the student’s involvement and accused Kennedy of breaking the

“Constitution’s prohibition on government officials promoting a religion,”

    reports state.

The Supreme court judges ruled in favor of Kennedy stating that Kennedy’s prayer groups were protected under the First Amendment, according to the Seattle Times. He is scheduled to return as the assistant football coach for Bremerton High School for the 2023 season, the district said on its website.

California Thieves Steal Half a Million Dollars Worth of Marijuana

Police are searching for a group of thieves who were captured on surveillance footage robbing half a million dollars worth of marijuana from a California cannabis shop, the NY Post reported.

The robbery occurred at 3Bros marijuana warehouse on Fair Avenue in Santa Cruz at around 2:30 a.m. on Thursday. The video shows four cars stationed outside the business with a group of masked men loading the vehicles with hundreds of pounds of weed.

An unnamed witness said the burglars were armed and moved so swiftly that they finished and sped off in less than 15 minutes, each vehicle going in different directions.

“They were masked up, clubbed up, and I had a really hard time even making the description of the people because of the weapons I saw,”

    they told KSBW.

Police are also having a hard time identifying the men due to the use of stolen vehicles and license plates, according to the outlet. Police believe the thieves targeted another cannabis store on Sunday in the Harvey West Park area in Santa Cruz.

Police Deputy Chief Jon Bush said these attacks against cannabis businesses are spreading across the Bay Area.

“Unfortunately, this isn’t something that’s just occurring in Santa Cruz,”

    he told KSBW.

“It’s across all the Bay Area and the region, especially with the recent increase in marijuana dispensaries being allowed to sell marijuana.”

Official suspect that thieves are robbing these businesses because they

“incorrectly believe the stores have a lot of cash on hand,”

    reports note.

Man Arrested For Allegedly Holding Massage Worker at Gunpoint After Demanding Sex Act, Police Say

A Florida man allegedly went into a massage parlor expecting a happy ending but left with an arrest instead, NY Post reported.

Timothy Paul Taylor, 35, a convicted felon, is accused of breaking into A1 Massage in Eustis through the back door at about 10:30 a.m. Thursday. He allegedly approached a female masseuse, who happened to be opening the establishment at that time, and asked if she could perform oral sex on him. She replied,

    “no”

which is when Taylor pulled out a gun demanding her to do so, according to police.

The brave lady did not budge, telling Taylor

    “no”

once again. Taylor reportedly told the woman he would kill her if she notified authorities and fled in a small black Chevy, according to the news outlet. The woman was unharmed and immediately contacted police from a neighboring business.

The suspect reportedly dropped off the vehicle at a family’s home, according to WESH. The Lake County Sheriff’s Office used a helicopter to help search for the suspect who was later found after receiving a tip from his mother.

“He refused to come out and was resisting and he was bit in the calf by a police dog. We located a gun at the scene, near the scene but it was a BB gun — BB gun, real gun, they look very much alike,”

Eustis Police Chief Craig Capri told the outlet.

“He put it under the hood to try to hide it,”

    he said about the pistol.

“When he drove off, it fell out, so one of our captains was actually at the scene and saw it in the street and was able to recover it.”

Taylor was apprehended and transported to a hospital where he was treated for injuries he suffered from the K9 unit, police said.

    He faces charges of

“attempted sexual battery, aggravated battery with a weapon, aggravated assault with a weapon, and resisting arrest without violence,”

  • Parents Outraged After Texas Middle School Students Were Asked To Role-Play as ‘Seducing Hooker’ in ‘Team Building’ Classroom Game

Parents Outraged After Texas Middle School Students Were Asked To Role-Play as ‘Seducing Hooker’ in ‘Team Building’ Classroom Game

A Texas mom is outraged after her daughter was allegedly asked by her teacher to participate in a

    “team building”

game that required her to act like a

    “seducing hooker,”

    NY Post reported.

Laura Maria Gruber said her daughter, who attended KIPP Poder academy a charter school in Texas, came home with the disturbing news.

“I picked my daughter and her best friend up from school and my daughter said ‘We played this game at school, Mom, and you’re going to be upset’…When she told me about kids getting up in class and posing as hookers, I almost crashed the car,”

    Gruber told The Post.

    The game,

    “Bear-Hooker-Hunter”

is apparently an adult drinking game version of rock-paper-scissors and was reportedly played as a

    “team building”

exercise. The seventh grade Social Emotional Learning class allegedly had the students stand in front of the classroom and pretend to be a hunter, pointing an imaginary gun, a scary bear with its paws up, or a

    “seducing hooker,”

    reports reveal.

Gruber said her daughter opted out of playing the game but other students were allegedly bribed with candy for them to join in, the daughter told her mom. Gruber, angered by the incident, pulled her daughter out of the school and demanded answers from administrators.

“I wanted my child to go to this school for the diversity and trusted them. But I didn’t realize it would involve sexual diversity and kids being sexualized.”

School Principal Stephanie Lee admitted that the game was instructed but denied that it had anything to do with sexualizing children.

“This game was not part of any KIPP curriculum, and it was not appropriate for students,”

    she wrote.

“Any activities with actions or words like ‘hooker’ or ‘seduce’ should never have a place in our schools. While the intent was never to sexualize a child, I recognize that the impact may have caused students to feel uncomfortable or traumatized. That does not honor the respect we aim to teach our students at all times; in truth, it is degrading.”

Teacher Quits Her Job in the Middle of Class, Students are Being Urged to be Kinder

A teacher seemingly fed up with her students is going viral on TikTok after she is seen packing up her belongings and walking out in the middle of class.

    The 28-second clip captioned

    “They made the teacher leave”

has made it rounds on TikTok with users defending the teacher’s actions. It is unclear what lead to the teachers breaking point but you can hear the woman saying,

“People are laughing. I’m gonna go. I don’t even care if I don’t get paid today. I’m just a stupid old white lady, that’s all.”

The students can be heard in the background encouraging the teacher to stay but she continues to pack her stuff. She tells the class to continue to do whatever they pleased and that it no longer concerned her. She is heard telling the students that it didn’t matter what she said, they would do whatever they wanted anyway.

At the end of the video the woman is seen storming past her students who shouted

    “whoa”

in an attempt to stop her, but she continued toward the door and said,

“I’m walking. I’m walking right out the door.”

Many users came to the teachers defense. One user created a reaction video where he touched on the

    “low wages”

teachers receive for the amount disrespect they endure.

“Yes, it could be attributed to the low wages that they get paid. But it also has to do with the fact that these kids have not home training,”

    Clay commented.
