A woman, Kristy Crampton, has been charged with felony child abuse after allegedly assaulting a child during a flight returning from Disney World, according to Sanford-Orlando International Airport police.
Crampton, whose exact connection to the boy remains unclear, was part of a group flying back to Maryland when the incident occurred, WFTV reports. Before takeoff, the child reportedly called Crampton “fat” and “Miss Piggy,” which led to her attacking him.
Witnesses told authorities that Crampton first punched the child, then struck him with a water bottle. As the child tried to shield himself, she allegedly slammed his head into the airplane window. The pilot alerted police, who arrested Crampton at the gate.
Crampton told police that the boy had been “very rude” throughout the trip. She admitted to taking his phone and hitting him after he repeatedly pushed her arm off the armrest. However, a witness insisted that Crampton’s behavior went beyond discipline and amounted to abuse.
The family declined to comment, and the nature of Crampton’s relationship with the child has not been disclosed. After appearing in Seminole County court, she was released on a $10,000 bond and ordered to have no contact with the child.

The incident occurred on March 17, and Huff was formally charged Tuesday in Onondaga County Court, PEOPLE reported.

A video circulating widely online shows a San Bernardino police officer forcefully body-slamming a 17-year-old girl named Erin. The teenage girl was partially handcuffed and sent face-first into the pavement. The incident took place on May 21 near a grocery store on West 2nd Street after police responded to reports of trespassing and a fight.
Erin and her family held a press conference Sunday, where she described her injuries and pain. “My whole body hurts, my head, my face, my wrist. I’m not the same anymore,” Erin shared.
Her mother, Tanya Brownridge, expressed frustration over the medical care and San Bernardino police response. “She’s still hurting, and we want justice. They let her bleed for hours before treating her properly.”
The video shows the officer restraining Erin before slamming her to the ground. Erin’s grandmother, Rhonda Taylor, spoke out, condemning the officer’s actions. “She’s a child. Seeing her blood by the police car is heartbreaking,” Taylor said.
Erin’s family insists she and her friends were attacked first inside the store, but police wrongly targeted Erin. The San Bernardino Police Department responded on social media, stating the officer attempted to handcuff her, but she resisted and tried to walk away, prompting a takedown maneuver. They emphasized that the use of force depends on behavior, not age or race.
Per ABC 7, the family is urging California Attorney General Rob Bonta to conduct an independent investigation into the San Bernardino police officer responsible. “We just want the truth and for those responsible to be held accountable,” Brownridge said.

Rawal Rehman has been jailed for 12 years after a drug-fueled crash killed a three-year-old girl during a family day out in Manchester. The 35-year-old admitted to causing death by dangerous driving after his van fatally struck Louisa “Lulu” Palmisano on February 22.
The Sun reported that Lulu had been walking with her parents along Mosley Street just before 10 a.m. when Rehman’s Mercedes-Benz van collided with a tram. The impact caused his vehicle to mount the pavement and hit the child, who was holding her mother’s hand and wearing a safety harness.
Moments before the crash, Rehman had taken a large amount of cocaine and visited two massage parlors. After the collision, he fled the scene but was later arrested at his home. Bodycam footage showed officers storming in as Rehman repeatedly apologized.
In court, Lulu’s mother gave a harrowing account of the moment her daughter was dragged under the van. She stated that the image would forever haunt her. Rawal Rehman’s history also revealed a prior conviction and prison time linked to another fatal hit-and-run, where he torched a vehicle involved in the incident.
Louisa’s parents remembered her as a kind, creative child who brought immense joy to their lives. “She was our only child, our world,” they said in an emotional statement. “We were simply enjoying a happy day together. The pain of losing her is beyond words.”
