Florida Doctor Arrested for Allegedly Firing Gun at Teens Who Tossed Cheese at His Range Rover: ‘They Shot at Me First’

A former Mayo Clinic physician in Florida, Bruce Mitchell, was arrested and charged after reportedly firing a gun at a vehicle carrying high school students who had thrown cheese at his car, according to police and The St. John’s Citizen.

Bruce Mitchell, 67, was taken into custody Saturday evening in Ponte Vedra Beach after a tense car chase began when five student athletes from a Jacksonville private school admitted to tossing cheese at Mitchell’s black Range Rover while stopped at a traffic light. Following the light change, Mitchell’s vehicle aggressively pursued the teens, who sped away, swerving between lanes.

Police say Mitchell then displayed a Sig Sauer handgun from his window and fired a shot into the air, prompting the teenage driver to accelerate sharply in fear for their lives. Several students called 911 during the chase, describing their terror.

Mitchell reportedly stopped chasing the teens after police passed, then pulled over when officers stopped him shortly afterward. Upon arrest, he claimed the teens had “shot at me first,” but no weapons were found in their vehicle.

Investigators discovered a loaded firearm and a spent shell casing in Mitchell’s Range Rover. The doctor, who formerly led Hospital Medicine at Emory University and spent 14 years at the Jacksonville Mayo Clinic, now faces felony charges including discharge of a weapon from a vehicle and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill.

  • Florida Fisherman Jailed and Fined $51k for Poisoning and Shooting Dolphins in Front of Children

Florida Fisherman Jailed and Fined $51k for Poisoning and Shooting Dolphins in Front of Children

A Florida charter boat captain, Zackery Brandon Barfield, has been sentenced to a month in federal prison for killing dolphins that disrupted his fishing trips, federal authorities announced. Barfield, 31, from Panama City, was also fined $51,000 for his actions, which violated the Marine Mammal Protection Act.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Florida, Barfield used a toxic pesticide called methomyl to poison baitfish and fed them to dolphins between 2022 and 2023. He also admitted to shooting the animals with a shotgun. Some of these acts occurred during chartered excursions with passengers, including children, onboard.

Officials from NOAA Fisheries, who led the investigation, say he may have exposed dozens of dolphins to poison. The officials estimated that as many as 70 could have been affected. The case came to light after an anonymous tip sparked an investigation in early 2023.

Acting U.S. Attorney Michelle Spaven called Barfield’s behavior “selfish and unlawful.” This highlights the cruelty involved and the disregard for federal protections. Paige Casey of NOAA added that the acts were “intentional and heartless.”

Zackery Brandon Barfield pleaded guilty to two federal counts related to harming marine mammals and one for illegal use of pesticides. As reported by NBC News and PEOPLE, he will serve a year of supervised release following his prison term.

OnlyFans Star Annie Knight Shares Her Fiancé Fully Supported Her in the Challenge of Sleeping with 583 Men in 6 Hours, ‘He Was Proud of Me’

Australian OnlyFans influencer, Annie Knight, says she received support from her fiancé, Henry Brayshaw, while taking on the challenge of sleeping with 583 men in just six hours.

“He was actually at work the day of the event, but he called me in the morning, wished me luck, said, ‘Make us proud. Have fun. Be safe,’” Knight, 28, shared in an interview with Us Weekly after finishing the challenge on Sunday, May 18. “And then called me the night of and was like, ‘How was it?’ And I told him all about it.”

Knight mentioned that Brayshaw, her fiancé since March, was “just really stoked” that she “went above and beyond” her original goal of having 200 men attend the session. “He was proud of me for completing it, because I think he was a bit worried that I wouldn’t be able to and that I’d be upset that I couldn’t do it,” she told Us. “He was just really happy for me.”

However, the ordeal landed her a trip to hospital, as she revealed days later. The OnlyFans star, who deals with endometriosis, confirmed to Us that she underwent blood tests and additional medical evaluations. “I’m not doing very well, I’ve been bleeding a lot since the challenge,” Knight told Us. “It was definitely a bit raw down there and I did get a small cut.”

    Inside Annie and Henry’s Relationship

Although Knight engages in intimate activities with others as part of her profession, she made it clear that her personal relationship is monogamous. “He definitely doesn’t sleep with other people. Obviously, with my work, it’s part of my job and I need to so he understands that. But he also understands that I’m getting married to him,” she said. “If he was to go and be with other girls, it would be very different because it’s not work for him, so it would be because he wanted to. A lot of people have question marks around that but we understand how that works.”

Knight and Brayshaw are planning to get married in Australia’s Gold Coast in October 2026.

  • Nike Set to Increase Prices on Various Products Starting This Week Amid Rising Tariffs, Reports Reveal

Nike Set to Increase Prices on Various Products Starting This Week Amid Rising Tariffs, Reports Reveal

In response to the increase in import tariffs, Nike plans to raise prices on a range of its U.S. products beginning June 1, 2025, per BBC

Following the announcement of several tariffs by U.S. President Donald Trump, who claimed they would enhance American manufacturing and safeguard jobs, many companies that produce goods overseas have raised their prices, leading to higher costs for U.S. consumers.

For those eyeing sneakers in the $100 to $150 range, brace yourself for an estimated $5 increase in price, according to Reuters. Anything over $150 could go up by as much as $10. Adult clothing and gear will also see a bump, somewhere between $2 and $10 depending on the item. Kids’ products, anything under $100, classic Air Force 1s, and some Jordan apparel won’t be affected.

This price adjustment isn’t exclusive to Nike; other brands such as Adidas, Apple, and many more are also feeling the impact due to the new U.S. tariffs on imports from major manufacturing countries like Vietnam and China. Since Nike produces around 95% of its shoes overseas, it is especially impacted by these changes.
