Man Killed Girlfriend and Disposed Her Body After She Discovered His Secret Marriage

A woman, Briana Winston, from Georgia was murdered and torched by her boyfriend, 23-year-old Michale Edwards. The Incident occurred back in March after confronting him about his secret marriage. The boyfriend, along with his wife, Brieanna Phillips-Edwards, brother, Keilan Wright, and mother, Ebony Anderson, are facing charges in connection to her disappearance, according to Fox News

Authorities believe that Winston was killed by Edwards, her child’s father, after a verbal disagreement about his alleged cheating. Edwards then put her body in a suitcase. He later drove to Tennessee using his wife’s vehicle, and scorched the body with the help of a friend, officials said.

According to investigators, Edwards’ friend revealed that they disposed of the woman’s remains in two different locations. Edwards was apprehended for aggravated stalking. Upon learning he was a murder suspect while in jail, he sought aid from his relatives to hide evidence.

    Ashanti Marbury, the Lieutenant said,

“It turned into a family affair… He definitely looped everyone into this crime.”

According to Fox 5 Atlanta, Phillips-Edwards was caught asking his wife to burn shoes and gloves used in destroying his girlfriend’s body. Edwards enlisted his mother and brother to help burn the evidence, resulting in conspiracy charges for all. On April 1, Winston was reported missing after her family discovered that she stopped going to work on March 17. They also discovered her empty apartment, which smelled strongly of bleach.

On April 26, the Clayton County Police Department released a statement declaring Winston as deceased, stating that she was a victim of a crime.

He wants water and I’m telling him, ‘Why did you do this?’ On top of the hood, there’s like a little opening, this guy probably thought he was slim enough to come through. He removed a couple of the filters so he could make it through,”

    said Angel.

Parents Found Allegedly Passed Out Drunk On Florida Beach While Their Kids Wandered Off To A Nearby Pool

A Georgia couple allegedly fell asleep drunk on a Florida beach while their young children wandered away, according to Volusia County sheriffs per the NY Post.

The incident was captured on body camera footage by deputies, who made multiple attempts to wake Alyssia Langley and her fiancé Timothy Stephens. The footage showed the deputies nudging Stephens, who had his arm around his girlfriend.

Langley and Stephens now face charges of felony neglect, and Stephens also faces charges for attempting to flee from police and possessing alcoholic beverages on the beach. In the body camera footage, he can be seen breaking free from the deputies and attempting to run away, before falling face first in the sand, knocking himself out.

Fox reports that Stephens is not the children’s biological father but has

    “assumed a guardian role.”

“And clearly these two clowns shouldn’t be in charge of — they can’t be in charge of themselves, let alone a five-year-old or a seven-year-old,”

Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood told Fox 35.

  • UPS Allegedly Offered An Atlanta Mother Compensation Of $135 After Losing The Ashes Of Her Deceased 15-Year-Old Son

UPS Allegedly Offered An Atlanta Mother Compensation Of $135 After Losing The Ashes Of Her Deceased 15-Year-Old Son

A grieving mother in Atlanta is devastated after the ashes of her 15-year-old son went missing during shipment, reports WSBTV. Tangenika Lee shared her heart-wrenching story, expressing that it feels like she has lost her son all over again.

Tragically, Deontray passed away in 2020 due to a fentanyl overdose. In an attempt to honor his memory, Lee sent his ashes to her sister in Connecticut, who specializes in customized cremation urns. However, the package never reached its destination, despite being expected to arrive by January 10. Lee received a $135 compensation check from corporate customer service, but she refused to cash it.

She initially shipped the ashes from a UPS store in Hiram, and when they failed to arrive, she returned to the store seeking answers, accompanied by the police.

“They went back into the store and they pulled cameras from January 8th, and they told me that the package had actually left their facility, there was nothing they could do about it,”

    Lee said.

“I just lost it, started crying.”

According to Lee, the ashes were last traced to a distribution center in Connecticut. She decided to visit the center to search for her son’s remains herself.

“I cremated him so he could be right here with me, and travel and do things together,” Lee said. “And he ain’t here.”

UPS contacted Regan and said that

“with the time constraints we had to investigate, we found the content of the package was declared by the customer as ‘clothes.’ UPS does not accept shipments of human remains. We extend our deepest sympathy to the family and our heartfelt thoughts are with them during this time. Unfortunately, the package was lost.”

  • Proposed Georgia Bill May Require Influencers To Disclose If They Are Being Paid For Political Posts

Proposed Georgia Bill May Require Influencers To Disclose If They Are Being Paid For Political Posts

Some Georgia lawmakers have proposed a bill that says social media personalities or influencers must disclose if they are paid by political campaigns or committees for their posts, reports the WSBTV

According to the text of House Bill 1039, a social media personality is characterized as

“a person, group of people, or business entity that creates or posts content, messages, information, or images that are viewable by other users on one or more social media platforms in return for monetary or nonmonetary remuneration.”

The bill doesn’t specify on how many followers you need to have to be considered a social media personality. It also doesn’t say if there are any exceptions for non-monetary compensations. According to HB 1039, if a candidate or political committee pays social media influencers to post content about them, it must be disclosed. The disclosure has to be written and, if possible, said out loud. It also has to be included every time the person posts something that they were paid for.

For posts that are just audio, the person has to say that they got paid for the post at the same read speed as the rest of the post. The bill doesn’t say the repercussions if someone doesn’t follow these rules and it becomes a law.
