  • Drug Dealer From Long Island Indicted For Dog Fighting and Selling ‘Enough Fentanyl To Kill’ Over 65K People

Drug Dealer From Long Island Indicted For Dog Fighting and Selling ‘Enough Fentanyl To Kill’ Over 65K People

Officials charged a Long Island drug dealer named Kevin Brown, 39, after finding over 1,000 pills, including 771 containing fentanyl, at his Hempstead home. This amount could potentially kill over 65,000 people. He was also charged with weapons and dog fighting offenses after officials discovered a loaded handgun, seven pit bulls in poor conditions used for dog fighting at his residence, ketamine, and more fentanyl pills. Prosecutors estimate the pills’ street value at $34,000, per the New York Post

“Selling dangerous drugs is often associated with the cruelty of dogfighting, and this defendant allegedly possessed and sold pills containing enough fentanyl to kill more than 65,000 people while also housing, breeding, and training seven pit bulls to fight,” Attorney Anne T. Donnelly from Nassau District mentioned in a press release.

In September 2024, police and the DEA began investigating Brown following an overdose at his home on Willow Avenue. After two months of watching him, they raided his property and found malnourished dogs in filthy crates, with six chained up.

A pit bull with cropped ears was found in a backyard along with dog fighting equipment. Seven dogs, including two females used for breeding, had severe scars from fighting. After a few months, two of the dogs have now been adopted.

Five animals are available for adoption at the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter. Brown appeared cheerful in Nassau County Court, where he pleaded not guilty. Bail was set at $100,000, and he was ordered not to have pets. He has since been released. His lawyer claimed he was not involved.

Marck Gann, his attorney said, “He’s a family man, he’s married. He’s got kids.”

  • Missouri Father Sentenced To 13 Years Behind Bars After Shooting Youth Football Coach Over Son’s Playing Time

Missouri Father Sentenced To 13 Years Behind Bars After Shooting Youth Football Coach Over Son’s Playing Time

A Missouri father received 13-years behind bars for shooting a youth football coach, Shaquille Latimore, over his son’s playing time while children practiced close by back in October 2023. 45-year-old Daryl Clemmons was convicted of assault in last month’s trial, per the New York Post. Reports noted that both men carried a firearm.

Prosecutors say the coach gave his firearm to a friend and suggested a fistfight with Clemmons, who refused and later shot Latimore five times instead. After fleeing, Clemmons turned himself into officials later that evening. St. Louis officials suspended the team due to ongoing adult-related incidents despite Latimore believing that this was unfair.

The defense claimed self-defense and sought a new trial. The St. Louis Circuit Attorney said the men argued about Clemmon’s son’s playing time.

Gabe Gore, Circuit Attorney, said in a statement following the verdict, “Violence, especially in youth sports, is completely unacceptable and undermines the purpose of these programs — teaching teamwork, discipline, and respect.”

Illinois Landlord Convicted After Fatally Stabbing 6-Year-Old Palestinian American By 26 Times In Anti-Muslim Hate Crime

An Illinois man has been declared guilty of murder and a hate crime for killing 6-year-old Wadea Al-Fayoume, a Palestinian American, back in 2023. This occurred days after the Oct. 7 Hamas attack in Israel. Joseph Czuba, 73, also stabbed Hanan Shaheen, the boy’s mother, during the attack at their residence in Plainfeild, Ill, per PEOPLE

After the mother was stabbed she attempted to call 911 from the bathroom, Czuba then assaulted her son Wadea. She heard him scream for aid. During the trial, prosecutors revealed that Wadea had been discovered naked and had sadly, been jabbed 26 times, they found him with the knife still in him, per the Associated Press.

Will County assistant state’s attorney, Michael Fitzgerald, said, “If it wasn’t enough that this defendant killed that little boy, he left the knife in the little boy’s body.”

The jury listened to a recording of Czuba talking to an officer, where he called Wadea and his mother “infested rats.” Hanan Shaheen testified that after the attack on Oct. 7, Czuba told her she and her son needed to leave, saying, “You, as a Muslim, must die.” He was also found guilty of attempted murder.

Czuba’s defense said the investigation lacked important evidence and claimed his ex-wife only remembered one outburst from their long marriage.

Six Flags’ Famous Kingda Ka Roller Coaster Destroyed In Explosion, Park Expected To Launch A New Coaster

The famous Six Flags Kingda Ka roller coaster, once deemed the tallest and fastest in the world, has collapsed in an implosion. Video footage captured the 456-foot-tall ride crashing down at the theme park in Jackson, New Jersey, early Friday morning, reports the New York Post

Multiple explosions happened at the base of the ride just before it fell, sending smoke into the air. Aerial footage showed parts of the ride scattered across the park. Local officials had warned residents on social media to get ready for a series of quick explosions ahead of time.

“The noises may be startling, but please don’t be alarmed. Keep pets indoors if they are sensitive to loud sounds…. If you or someone you know is affected by loud noises, take necessary precautions,” a Facebook post by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s office.

Kingda Ka, built in 2005, had provided over 12 million rides before it was destroyed. Six Flags announced late last year that the popular ride would be removed to make way for a fresh launch coaster, which is expected to open in 2026.

A FedEx truck driver is accused of causing a crash that killed an ex Long Island track star and his two children. 30-year-old Santos Valentin, reportedly checked his phone 25 times before the accident. He crashed into a Honda Civic with Donnell Hickson, 43, his son Decir, 18, and his daughter, Kyla, 11. • Girlfriend Face Life Behind Bars After Fatally Beating Her Boyfriend and Covering His Face With Makeup To Hide Bruises

Girlfriend Face Life Behind Bars After Fatally Beating Her Boyfriend and Covering His Face With Makeup To Hide Bruises

A Nebraska woman, 49-year-old Michelle Lee Marr was convicted of second-degree murder for fatally attacking her boyfriend, Jesse Gilpin, back in March 2022. She tried to cover his wounds with makeup and called 911, claiming she found him unconscious, per the New York Post

Gilpin, who was a father, was flown to Twelve Clans United Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa. Nurses noticed he had a lot of makeup on his face and body. After removing it, they found many injuries, including large bruises on his head.

Prosecutors said in court documents, “The makeup was described as having been applied thickly and appeared fresh and not slept in.”

“A nurse at Mercy Medical Center said it took her a while to scrub the makeup off Gilpin’s face and she noted it was a match for Gilpin’s skin tone,” the documents attained by the Daily Mail.

Sadly, Gilpin passed away the following day due to brain trauma and swelling. An autopsy determined that his death was a homicide.

A pathologist testified at Marr’s trial that Gilpin’s injuries were intentionally caused, not accidental. Marr claimed she passed out at 5 p.m. and discovered him unconscious later. However, prosecutors found evidence on her phone showing she lied about this.

Her boyfriend’s children and relatives informed officials about her history of violence against Gilpin. After a five-day trial in Omaha, she was declared guilty of second-degree murder and tampering with evidence. She could face life behind bars at her sentencing on June 5.
