Ray J is staunchly defending Sean “Diddy” Combs, whose trial comes up soon. The musician claimed that Diddy would beat the sex trafficking allegations leveled against him. He said the allegations had no substance, making it certain that the record producer will be free. His recent stance comes after a sudden switch-up in his attitude toward Diddy following his encounter with one of the latter’s children.
Ray J Claims Diddy Will Walk Free
Ray J says he is sure Sean “Diddy” Combs will walk free after his trial. He claimed the sex trafficking allegations against Diddy are “weak” and nonsensical. Ray J made the claims on controversial YouTuber Sneako’s stream on Monday, April 21.
He said, “Puffy ’bout to get out too, on the dead homies, n-gga.” He added, “Puffy getting out. All that shit they’re trying to charge that n-gga for is nonsense, bro. He did something bad that we all seen and that shit’s unacceptable, but that’s not what the charges are for. The charges are weak, and it’s not funny and it’s not okay.”
Ray J’s Massive Flip
Ray J has not always been a staunch Diddy supporter. He was one of the loudest voices who condemned Diddy after Cassie’s sexual abuse and sex trafficking allegations. Ray J called Diddy’s actions “demonic” and “unforgivable,” claiming that those in their world don’t condone such acts. Ray J said, “That’s fucking unacceptable. I’ve never ever seen nothing like that in my life,” he said, adding, “The homie need a public whipping… 100 lashes… 1,000 lashes. That would help.”
However, he suddenly switched up after running into one of Diddy’s sons at a Halloween party in October 2024. Ray J and Diddy’s son fought at the party over the sex trafficking allegations until Chris Brown broke them up. Sources close to the actor said the incident made him reflect and change his stance. He has been backing Diddy amid his sex trafficking allegations since then.
Ray J Questions The Sex Trafficking Allegations Against Diddy
Ray J has been questioning the sex trafficking allegations against Diddy ever since. In December, he called the case a “conspiracy,” claiming that none of the accusations had been proven. “Listen, I’ve been to a lot of Diddy parties, and ain’t none of them had no dirty shit happening at them,” he declared on 20 Versus. “All this happening with Diddy is a conspiracy, y’all.” Before then, he expressed doubts about Diddy’s sex trafficking allegations on Cuomo with NewsNation in November.
“Is any of it real? Or how much of it is real? I think that’s where we are now because they just keep piling on. Now everybody is starting to feel weird about it and it’s starting to look like it’s one-sided against one man, and people aren’t liking it,” he said, per Complex.
Around the same time, he also alleged that some celebrities were “paying victims to keep their names out of” the situation. He also called the “freak-off” claims non-existent in TMZ’s TUBI documentary and said many celebrities had never heard of them.
He said, “Everybody that’s super legitimate, that’s an A-List celebrity, from my knowledge — I just know that I have never seen a ‘freak off’ — what does that really mean? Is that really real? Are we creating a new narrative for something that’s not there? Was there really dope in the baby oil? What are we doing?”
The trial for the sex trafficking allegations against Diddy will begin on May 5. The music executive has been charged with two counts of sex trafficking, transportation to engage in prostitution, and one count of racketeering in New York.
